Moonlit Deer ~ original framed watercolour

This piece is inspired by a late drive home on some country lanes in Devon.
The most beautiful young deer stepped out into the road, luckily some distance ahead, so we could stop and dim our lights so it wasn't too stunned and could leap back into the safety of the hedge after pausing for a look at us.
It stayed in my memory because it became lit by the moon shining through the trees in a lovely, ethereal glow.
 
Painted in soft hues of watercolour, protected with matt varnish.
 
Mounted in white and framed in a light faun 26 x 32 cm wood frame with art glass, made in the UK.
