This piece is one of a collection of works based on the exploration of 'Illumination' in nature. I have become fascinated with the tiny details and layers in organic forms, and wanted to create abstract impressions of these studies.
 
I build up layers to form subtle shifts in light and colour using acrylic paint, gesso and inks.
This wrapped canvas is 16 x 20 inches with a 1.5 cm depth which is painted in the same hue as the artwork, so is ready to pop onto the wall.
I recommend using two level wall hooks to hold each top corner in place.
I protect all original artwork with matt varnish, but would advise placing in an area away from direct sunlight as with any artwork.
